With our retainer program you get replacement retainers for years following your treatment! At South Surrey Smiles, we make it easy and affordable to maintain your beautiful smile.
For $750 you can enrol in our Smile Protection Program which will provide you with replacement retainers for the next seven years for no additional cost. Normally, each set of replacement retainers cost $500 if you are NOT enrolled.
Retainers are critical to maintaining the smile you've invested in. If you don’t continue wearing your retainers, your teeth may shift throughout your life. Retainers often get lost, get broken ... and even get eaten (yes, dogs love to eat retainers!).

How many times can I replace my retainer?
The Smile Protection Program includes one full set of retainers per year and the office visit fee. Please note we will not provide multiple retainer replacements in a single visit.

Are there any costs for me after I pay the fee?
No, the fee you pay for your smile protection plan covers your retainer replacements with no extra costs.

What payment options do you offer?
We provide three convenient, interest-free ways to pay.
- Payment Option 1 – purchase at time of treatment.
- Payment Option 2 – purchase at debond and up to six months after – payment in full $750.
- Payment Option 3 – three monthly payments of $250.

What payments are accepted?
We accept cash, debit card, Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

How many installments are in the monthly installments?
There are three monthly installment payments. Each installment payment is $250.

What happens if I don't wear my retainer?
Just because your orthodontic treatment is finished doesn’t mean that your teeth are going to stay in place. If you don’t wear your retainer, your teeth will tend to shift back into their old placement. If you don’t wear your retainer, you may need orthodontic intervention again within 10 years, or even sooner.

Is the Smile Protection Program worth the money?
Without the Smile Protection Program, the cost to replace a set of retainers is $250 - $350 based on the type of retainer you have been prescribed. The Smile Protection Program offers the convenience of getting retainer replacements over the course of seven years without having to worry about paying this cost out of pocket every time!

When I need a new retainer, will I need to get new impressions?
No, at the start we will take a 3D scan of your teeth. This will make it easier for future replace retainers.

How does the program work?
When you require a retainer replacement, give us a call as soon as possible. We will invite you to come back into our practice and confirm if you need upper and lower retainers. In some cases, we may need to take another scan of your teeth. You will be invited to pick up your new retainers approximately a week later.
